Have yourself a funky little Christmas

If you’re anything like me, you might need a little refresh on your Christmas music. If you think your holiday tunes lack a little soul, funk or boogie-woogie, I’ve put together playlist that’ll make you wanna dance down the stairs on Christmas morning like the intro to Superbad (see below).

So fear not. Don’t get all Scroogy on me and boycott Christmas like Luther Krank; I took the initiative and dug up some Christmas tunes that will still make you wanna get down and celebrate the season. I’ve had it on in the studio for the past week and figured I’m not the only one out there who could use a refresh on their Christmas tunes.

So slap the play button and get ready to dance one out for little baby Jesus. All I ask is that you please enjoy responsibly…

We have all heard people complain, “I can’t stand it when stores start playing Christmas music the day after Halloween!” Because it’s true and it’s genuinely annoying as hell. Not because it bulldozes right over Thanksgiving (another important holiday for warm and fuzzies) but because by the time Christmas actually gets here, I will actually hang myself if I hear All I Want for Christmas Is You. It’s not Mariah Carey’s fault, she has a killer voice. It’s the malls really. And the drug stores. And restaurants. You can’t go anywhere without getting a snowball of generic white bread Christmas music shoved down your throat.

That is, until now… Merry Christmas, ya funky animals.
